Virti Wins SimGHOSTS Innovation Award

Awards keep on coming for Virti and we are delighted to announce that we won the SimGHOSTS Innovation Award at CHIPS UTHSC in Memphis.

SimGHOSTS, aka The Gathering Of Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialists, is an international US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and institutions operating medical simulation technology and spaces through: hands-on training events, online resources, and professional development.
SimGHOSTS envisions a healthcare education culture where people are empowered to use simulation technology to improve learning and patient care outcomes.

The Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Simulation (CHIPS) is a world-class, 45,000-square-foot, standalone simulation facility located at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis. CHIPS is dedicated to improving healthcare training and positively affecting patient safety. Students from the six colleges at UTHSC – Dentistry, Graduate Health Sciences, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy – participate in activities at CHIPS. CHIPS is also a resource to UTHSC residency programs and UTHSC’s local clinical partners.

As the flagship statewide, public, academic health system, the mission of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is to bring the benefits of the health sciences to the achievement and maintenance of human health, with a focus on the citizens of Tennessee and the region, by pursuing an integrated program of education, research, clinical care, and public service. Employing more than 6,000 people on its faculty, staff and not-for-profit corporation faculty practice groups, UTHSC contributes more than $2.7 billion to the economy of Tennessee.
